Yeah. The "taking care of people" part? Not true, especially if you're not a very specific demographic the one you fit within. And I can't quite get over the part where women don't have an bodily autonomy, and the ability for them to not minorities off the voting rules and take voting drop away boxes away the majority black counties, like Harris County. I'm a current customer of Black Oak homes (3rd home). They are building a barndominium for me across from Republic Grand Ranch. I must say, everyone I've worked with have been so cheerful. A bad experience can easily kill the mood and experience of building your dream home, but Black Oak has definitely enhanced the process. When I look at other barndominium projects on RUclips, I am so happy that I found Black Oak. The luxury feel comes through to tickle my emotions. Since the luxury items are standard, they have the economies of scale in that arena, meaning in basic homes, a luxury upgrade is overpriced due to the "special change" order. The area is great and starting to boom. The neighbors are so relaxed, unlike city dwellers, while being 15 minutes to the city of Conroe, and 25 minutes to the Woodlands. I highly recommend them.

Water heater placement is your choice. Not a Texas thing. Don’t get this one.

We are currently looking at kingwood tx to move to from California but don’t worry we are not taking our crap state believes with us, that’s why we are getting out. My husband has a job in humble and would like to know where is best to look that aligns with our beliefs and interests. If you could please let me know. Tree roaches get into the house sometimes...those things are giant and they fly! One flew at me and I saw it's eyes! Ugh! But it's worth it for the Mexican food, swimming pools during the summer, and the air conditioning.

Keep in mind that where you guys are from has low to no humidity, but here in southeast Texas, the humidity is always present. Even in the winter.

Water heaters or Ac units on the garage are more likely to flood during a hurricane. The attic is the highest place in the house. Also people want the floor space in their garage for the bigger cars or more storage.

My wife and I lived in Kingwood TX for 21 years and we loved it. The people are great and the area was beautiful.

Lived in Houston 16 years. The worst thing for me was the heat & humidity. Traffic was terrible too!

Why is your hot water heater and air conditioner in your attic? That’s why it drained onto your ceiling. I realize it’s not your fault, but can you have it put in a room on a lower level?

We have lots of Scorpions here in San Antonio. We are right there with the speed racers in Houston. It's crazy. I normally drive 4 or so miles over the limit, n people pass me like I'm standing still.

Been to San Antonio in late October. 100 degrees and probably the same for humidity. The people are great, but because of all the other things on your list, I would not move to Texas.
